To become a member of the HS Band, a student must complete at least two years of band experience. Members of the band participate in the Marching Band then audition for the Symphonic Band, or Concert Band in late Fall. The Symphonic Band competes at the UIL Concert & Sight reading contest in the Spring. The Concert Band continues to work on fundamentals of music and musicianship on their specific instrument. All students are expected to demonstrate proper behavior and a standard of excellence through their music in order to maintain membership of the Marlin Bands.
