Special Called Board Meeting

Approve Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract - Motion by Mrs. Billie Jones, seconded by Ms. Elaine Truett, that the Board of Trustees hereby approve Construction Manager-At-Risk contract as presented in substantially form at this meeting and directs the Superintendent, Financial Advisor, Architect and legal Counsel to finalize the terms by Monday, June 15th. Contract to be executed on Tuesday, June 16th, and if an impasse is reached, then the consultants and the superintendent are directed to commence negotiations with the next construction manager as ranked by the architect pursuant to Section 44.038 of the Texas Education Code. The motion carried unanimously.

Approve Order by Board Authorizing Execution & Delivery of a Bond Purchase and Lease Agreement - Motion by Mr. Carman Dingrando, seconded by Mrs. Billie Jones, to approve an order by the Board of Trustees of the Marlin Independent School District authorizing the execution and delivery of a bond purchase agreement and a lease agreement and related documents regarding the lease/purchase of certain school facilities from the Marlin Independent School District Public Facility Corporation; authorizing the sale of certain land and improvements to such corporation for the site of these school facilities; approving the contribution of certain insurance proceeds and of other school district funds relating to the sale of this land and improvements; consenting to the execution and delivery by the corporation of a mortgage, a security agreement, and a trust agreement and the delivery of bonds pursuant thereto; and containing provisions necessary and incidental to the purposes hereof. The motion carried unanimously.
