SPECIAL CALLED MEETING AND BUDGET WORKSHOP
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
MARLIN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

June 5, 2006

CALL TO ORDER:
1. President, Lowanda Washington called the meeting to order at 12:20 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Mr. Roger Nutt, Mr. Terry Douglas, Ms. Lowanda Washington, and Mr. David Lawson. Mr. Danny Vickers, Mr. Gary Gray and Ms. Sonja Washington were absent.

Set Date for Public Meeting to Discuss Proposed Tax Rate/ Budget and Approve To Publish Notice Of Public Meeting - Motion made by Roger Nutt, seconded by Terry Douglas to set date of Public Meeting to discuss proposed tax rate and budget for June 27, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. in the Marlin Middle School Cafeteria and approval to publish notice of public meeting. The motion carried unanimously.

Budget Workshop - Kim Margoitta, Business Manager discussed with the Board members the tax rate and comparison of the proposed budget with last year's budget. Board members asked questions. Kim also indicated that she is still waiting for the new template. Plans and dates of future budget workshops were discussed.

Adjourned - President, Lowanda Washington adjourned the meeting at 12:25 p.m.
