SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
MARLIN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
Administration Building -5:30 p.m.

January 06, 2006

CALL TO ORDER
1. The meeting was called to order by President, Lowanda Washington, at 5:32 p.m.
2. Roll call: Mr. Roger Nutt, Mr. Terry Douglas, Mr. David Lawson, Ms. Sonja Washington, Ms. Lowanda Washington and Mr. Danny Vickers. Mr. Gary Gray arrived at 5:35 p.m.

Closed Session - At 5:32 p.m. President Washington announced the Board will go into Closed Session under
Section 551.071.

The Board came out of Closed Session and reconvened to Open Session at 6:15 p.m.

Act on recommendation of Middle School Principal - Motion made by Mr. Danny Vickers, seconded by Mr. David Lawson to employ Mr. Curtis Hurst as Certified Administrator for the remainder of the 2005-06 school year and for the 2006-07 school year.

Act on recommendation of Elementary School Principal - Motion made by Mr. Roger Nutt, seconded by Mr. Terry Douglas to employ Mrs. Frances Penland as Certified Administrator for the remainder of the 2005-06
school year through the 2006-07 school year.

Adjourned - President Washington adjourned the meeting at 6:17 p.m.
