 NOTICE OF WORKSHOP

Marlin ISD Trustees

Marlin Middle School 5:30 p.m.

May 18, 2010

Call to Order - Board President, Lowanda Sias called the meeting to order at 5:34 p.m.

Roll Call - Roger Nutt, Tania Baker, Lowanda Sias, David Lawson and Steve Johnson. A quorum was established for the meeting. Sonja Washington arrived at 5:37 p.m. and Lisa Silvas arrived at 5:57 p.m.

Discuss 2010-2011 Budget - Business Manger, Kim Margoitta opened the discussion of the 2010-2011 budget by providing the trustees with a handout of the proposed budget from the previous year and revenue and expenditures anticipated for 2010-2011. Questions were asked and discussed concerning the General Fund (199). Information concerning the proposed maintenance tax rate and the rate to pay bonded indebtedness was distributed to trustees. The trustees were also given notice of staff changes on each campus, as well as projects for the current year and proposed projects for the long range plan.

Adjournment - Board President, Lowanda Sias adjourned the meeting at 5:58 p.m.
