School Board Action Report

March 31, 1998 Regular Scheduled Meeting

Written Certification to Cancel May 2, 1998 Board of Trustee Election - Motion by Mr. Arthur Douglas, seconded by Ms. Lowanda Washington, to approve written certification to cancel the May 2, 1998 Board of Trustee Election. The motion carried unanimously. As the time for filing for candidacy in District B & E has passed and they are unopposed; and there being no propositions scheduled to appear on the ballot, the Board of Trustees Election can be canceled.

Reject recommendation for Early Voting Judge, Alternate and Judges & Clerks for District B & E - Motion by Mr. Keith Drews, seconded by Ms. Lowanda Washington, to reject the recommendation for the early voting judge, alternate early voting judge and the judges and clerk for Districts B and E due to the cancellation of the May 2, 1998 Trustee Election. The motion carried unanimously.

Approval of Contract Forms for Contract Personnel for 1998-99 School Year -Motion by Mr. Arthur Douglas, seconded by Ms. Rose Sedillo, to approve the contract forms for contract personnel as presented for the 1998-99 school year. The motion carried unanimously.

Rescind Action Taken on TDTWDP - Motion by Ms. Elaine Truett, seconded by Mr. Arthur Douglas, to rescind previous action taken at the March 24 meeting regarding "Take our Daughter/Sons to Work Day Program." The motion carried unanimously.
