ACTION REPORT

Special Called School Board Meeting - May 26, 1998

Appointment of New Board Member to PFC - Motion by Mr. Arthur Douglas, seconded by Ms. Rose Sedillo, to appoint Carman Dingrando to replace Keith Drews as member of the Public Facility Corporation. Voting for Mr. Arthur Douglas, Ms. Rose Sedillo, Mr. Keith Alston, Ms. Elaine Truett, and Mrs. Billie Jones. Mr. Carman Dingrando abstained from voting. The motion passed.

Selection of Construction Manager-At-Risk -Motion by Ms. Elaine Truett, seconded by Mr. Arthur Douglas, to accept the proposal of three per cent (3%) of the construction cost from Baird-Williams Construction, Ltd. Temple, Texas for Construction Manager-At-Risk. The motion carried unanimously.

Employ Consulting Engineer - Motion by Mr. Arthur Douglas, seconded by Mr. Carman Dingrando, to employ James P. Andrews, P.E. as consulting engineer. The motion carried unanimously. Mr. Andrews will review document, perform evaluation, provide professional opinions, and provide other engineering services as requested in connection with the repair/replacement of the fire damaged elementary school building. Engineering work will be provided by Mr. Andrews at an invoice rate of $50/hr. Other types of work will be invoiced in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
