Special Called Board Meeting for a Public Hearing on Marlin I.S.D. Proposes Tax Rate - September 25, 2001

The meeting was called to order by President, Arthur Douglas, at 6:31 P.M.

All board trustees were present.

Public Hearing on Proposed Tax Rate 2--1-02 School Year - President Douglas announced that all persons desiring to speak on the proposed tax rate give their name to the secretary. No one wished to speak.

There were no public comments.

President Douglas adjourned the meeting at 6:37 P.M.

Special Called Meeting To Adopt Proposed Tax Rate:

The meeting was called to order by President, Arthur Douglas, at 6:45 P.M.

Invocation was give by trustee, Rose Morin.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by trustee, Rose Morin.

All trustees were present for meeting.

AGENDA ITEM:

Adopt Proposed Tax Rate - Motion by Mr. Danny Vickers, seconded by Ms. Lowanda Washington, be it ordained and ordered by the School Board of Marlin Independent School District, that we, the School Board of Marlin ISD, do hereby levy or adopt the tax rate on $100 valuation for this district for the tax year 2001 as follows: 1.35407 for the purpose of maintenance and operation; .05704 for the payment of principal and interest on debt of this school district making total 2001 tax rate 1.41111. Voting for: Mr. Danny Vickers, Ms. Lowanda Washington, Mrs. Rose Morin, Mrs. Byrleen Terry, Mr. Roger Nutt and Mr. Arthur Douglas. Voting against: Mr. Carman Dingrando. The motion passed.
