Marlin ISD

Victim number three, the Lorena Leopards, turned out to be a little tough in the early going as the score was tied 63 all heading into the final period.

Marlin was up by 16 at the half but the third period saw the Leopards come "clawing" back scoring 30 points. But the bulldogs would answer back scoring 41 of their own points in the final period to hit the century mark for the first time this season on way to a 104 - 81 final score.

Scoring highlights are many in this one folks so let's just list them:

Bernard Washington - 23 points; 15 steals; 5 assists; 6 of 6 from the field, 5 of 5 from the charity stripe and 2 of 3 from "downtown."

Charles Johnson - 24 pts; season high 27 rebounds; 12 assists; 6 steals; five of 10 from the field; 2 of 2 from three point range and 8 of 9 from the foul line.

Desmond Woodson - 9 pts; 12 rebounds; 3 assists and a season high 10 blocked shots!

Dontel Carroll - season high 25 pts; 11 rebounds; 5 assists; 10 of 12 from the field.

Ashley Anderson - season high 21 assists! 7 steals.

Desmond Watson - 7 pts; 9 rebounds; 3 blocked shots; 4 assists; 3 steals,

Next up for the bulldogs - a visit from the "BIG Boys" from Robinson.
