Bulldogs Ground The Rockets

Move to 4-0 In District Play!

Size sometimes can be intimidating BUT not tonight as the quickness and fast paced play of the bulldogs was just too much for the Rockets as Marlin took an 80-69 win to stay atop district all alone at 4-0.

Charles Johnson and Desmond Watson both led the team in scoring with 16 points a piece. Johnson also added 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Watson added 11 boards, three steals and three blocked shots.

Also in the scoring column for Marlin was: Jeremy Modkins with 10 points; Bernard Washington with 14 points and 11 steals; Dontel Carroll with 13 points and 18 rebounds; Desmond Woodson with 8 points, 16 rebounds, five steals and six blocked shots.; Ashley Anderson with four points, six steals and six assists.

If the dogs win on January 29 when the Hornets of Gatesville "buzz" into town they will go undefeated in Round One and wrap up a play off birth.

On the year Marlin now stands at 14-6.
