"Rubber Game" goes to Pirates

Marlin won game one back on December 5 by a score of 71 to 67. Game two went to La Vega 67-59 on December 8 and game three was set in Marlin on January 5. One knew it would be a good one as these two arch-rivals hit the hardwood. In a hard fought game it was the Pirates who would prevail 64-57 and drop the dogs to 12 -6 on the year.

Dontel Carroll led the team in scoring with 14 points with Desmond Watson chipping in with 12.

The dogs have two games left before starting district play. They will play at Fairfield on January 8 and then return home on January 12 against Connally. They will open district play at home on January 15 against Cameron.
