Marlin ISD

Game One - In a high scoring affair the bulldogs took a 77-70 win over Marshall and moved to 10-4 overalll on the year. Charles Johnson led the team in scoring with 19 points while pulling down 13 rebounds. Dontel Carroll had 18 points with six steals and Bernard washington hit three of six on threes and finished with 10 points. Ashley Anderson had 13 assists on the night.

Game Two - The bulldogs ran into a bizz saw in their second game as Hastings pounded the dogs with an 85 - 58 win. In a losing cause, Bernard Washington led the team in scoring with 20 points. Charles Johnson had another good night on the boards, grabbing 12 rebounds.

The loss dropped Marlin to 10-5 on the year.

Game Three - Marlin took game three of the tournament with a hard fought victory over Leander 60-54. Charles Johnson was the hero this night scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists.

The bulldogs stand 11 -5 on the year.

Game Four - In a real nail biter, the bulldogs finished the Rice tournament with a victory over Livingtson. The dogs trailed by three after one period and were down by only 2 (28-26) at the half. The end of three had the dogs down only one at 38-37 but finally in the final period the dogs eeked out a 54-52 win.

Balanced scoring in this one as Bernard Washington finished with 16. Charles Johnson and Desmond Watson both had 12.
