Marlin ISD

It was all "treats" this Halloween night as the Bulldogs of Marlin rolled over the Bulldogs from McGregor.

The Bulldogs from Marlin jumped out to a 33-0 lead in the first quarter scoring five touchdowns. The last three tdís were scored in a span of forty-five seconds!

TD #1 came on a 34-yard run by Antonio "Tookie" Davis at the 9:45 mark.

TD #2 Senior QB, Shaun Henry found his favorite receiver, Jante Cheeves on a five-yard scoring pass.

TD #3 & 4 It was "BOO TIME" as in Cecil "Boo" Kelly. Cecil scored from 20 yards out and then came right back on the bulldogs next possession and reversed his field scoring from 30 yards out.

TD # 5 An 18-yard run by junior running back, Reggie Smith.

Things settled down a little after this on slaught in the first quarter. But with just over six minutes before the half, freshman running back DeMarcus Smith took it in from six yards out and Marlin took a 39-0 lead to the locker rooms.

Marlin scored once more in the third quarter as Henry threw to Reggie Smith covering 20 yards and with Nathan Polsterís extra point the misery for McGregor was over. Final 46-0 Marlin.

With Shaun Henry throwing for two touchdown passes he now sits at the top of 17 3-A in td passes thrown with 12!

The Marlin D, led by Cassius "Bootsy" Johnson played another outstanding game holding McGregor to a total of 88 yards on offense and allowing only four first downs.

With the victory, Marlin moves to 4-2 (6-3 on the year) in district play and will finish out the season this Friday at Robinson (4-2 in district).
