"Who Let Those Dogs Out!"

REVENGE

It was sweet baby! Revenge for last year's loss to the Rockets in the playoffs! Mo Smith has 306 all purpose yards and scores FIVE touchdowns! 583 yards on offense! And on and on and on....

This night the dogs scored quick and the dogs scored often. On their first possession, starting from their own five-yard line, Mo Smith ran for 30-yards on the first play. QB, Jeremy Modkins then hit WR Desmond Watson for seven yards to the 42. Smith again to the 48; FB Derrick Berry to the 50. Another pass from Modkins to TE Davison Nutt covers 14 yards to the Rocket 36. The dogs couldn't be stopped - UNLESS - A ZEBRA WITH A FLAG! "Ineligible receiver down field." Not to fret bulldogs - the next play, Modkins hits Mo in stride over the middle and 55 yards later - TOUCHDOWN!. Smith added the point after to make it the beginning of a LONG night for the Rockets - 7 zip Bulldogs.

The Rockets first possession netted a total of four yards and it was punt time.

Again it would be Mo getting loose. (Who let those dogs out!) This time Mo would run 48 yards to pay dirt for TD #2. The PAT was no good but the dogs moved out to a 13-0 lead, still in the first quarter.

On the ensuing kickoff, the ball was mishandled by the Rockets and Davison Nutt fell on it at the Rocket 42. The dogs couldn't get anything going this time and gave the ball back to the Rockets on downs. Robinson though gave it right back as Reggie Norman fell on a loose ball at the Rocket 41.

The very next play, Modkins hits Watson for 31 yards down to the Rocket 10. Modkins would take it in from there and with Mo's extra point the score was 20-0!

For the Rockets - another three and out. And the dogs were barking again. Starting at their own 30, Berry ran for 17 yards. A pass intended for Nutt was deflected and Mo caught it and ran it to the Rocket 25. Then it was Berry for eight yards. Then a pass to Smith to the two. Then it was TD# 3 for Mo from two yards out. PAT was blocked but Mo picked it up and ran it in to make it 28-0 at the half.

On the dogs first possession of the third quarter they would score yet again. Starting at their own 34, Berry runs for 13 yards. Then its Smith, Berry again and Modkins each running the ball and moving the chains to the Rocket 24 yard line. Modkins runs it to the 14 and then again runs it to the three. Berry to the two sets up TD #4 for Mo. PAT was wide right but the damage continued for the Rockets - MARLIN 34 ROBINSON  0.

Once again the Rockets went three and out and here came the dogs again. This time starting at their own 25. "See Berry run - as Derrick on back to back runs takes it down to the Rocket 27. But a turnover by the dogs gave the ball back to the Rockets and the Rockets began to drive the ball. They actually got to the bulldog 10 yard line before defensive lineman, Adrain Green said - ENOUGH is ENOUGH - as he put a slammer on the Rocket QB for a three yard sack. A fourth down pass attempt fell incomplete and the bulldogs took over on their 13. "One Mo Time!" You guessed it TD # 5 - save the best for last - Mo takes the handoff and following great blocking by the offensive front line and another big block down field by Watson and Smith rambles 87 yards for a touchdown! 306 yards on the night for Mo and with James Johnson's point after the dogs extend the massacre to 41-0!

The bulldogs would score one more time before the night finally ended for the Rockets. Backup QB, Thaddeus Freeman entered the game and quickly showed his speed gaining 60 yards on two carries down to the Rocket 25. Enter the backfield, freshman D'Nerian Wrighter. Wrighter takes the handoff from Freeman and 25 yards later he's in the end zone to make the final score Marlin 47 and the Rockets 0!

Next up is homecoming for the bulldogs as the Teague Lions come to Legion Field on October 27 at 7:30 p.m..

See ya at the game - "Who let those dogs out!"
