DOGS TAME THE TIGERS WITH EASE!

ROCKDALE - The Marlin Bulldogs rolled up nearly 400 yards of total offense in pounding the Tigers of Rockdale.
The Tank was fueled and showed his stuff in his first game back since a knee injury sidelined him in eaqrly September. Tank Smith had 111 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries for Marlin, while Jeremy Sanders completed seven of eight passes for 122 yards and a touchdown to Red Richardson that covers 82 yards. The offensive line had a couple of new faces - at guards for the dogs were #51 John Sadler and #53 Mark Jimenez who had great games in helping to protect the quarterback and open holes for the running backs.
Devon Hughes returned a fumble 15 yards for a touchdown to lead Marlin's defensive effort. Devon also had an interception that led to the Dogs first score.
Chuck Vincent's defense had a superb game. Rockdale could manage only 36 yards on the ground in 26 rushing attempts. Matt Sanders completed three passes for 37 yards.
The Dogs are back - NO Doubt About It! Next up are the Trojans of Troy and they will need more than a wooden horse to stop these Dogs! Game time 7:30 Friday night at Troy.
