State Ranked Midway Panthers Put Dogs In The House
Playing against the defending 4A state champs was a real challenge for our hometown Bulldogs at home on Tuesday, Janaury 28. The Panthers came out strong in the first half, scoring four goals by halftime.
In the second half, the Bulldogs put the pressure on, but unfortunately Midway slipped three more goals in to make it 7-0. Late in the second half, however, freshman Dustin Lawrence came in off the bench and scored off of a deflection by the Panther goalkeeper after a shot by Daniel Ronquillo to score the only Bulldog goal of the game.
The team will try to get back to
the 500 mark in district play with a game at Mexia on Friday the 31st.
