Diamond Girls Continue To Struggle

March 28 saw the Ladies head to Cameron to close out first round action in district play, still looking for that first district win.

The Ladies jumped out in front early with Keri Mills drawing a walk to start the game. Mills then stole second and third and came in to score on a single by Randi Kurtz.. In the second, the Ladies made it 2-0 as Lareshia McGowan walked, stole second and third and scored on a single by Lauren Vickers.

But the Yoe came back, scoring three in the second and four in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead to the last at bat for the Ladies. Bethany Burns led the inning off with a single. Mills walked, Jessica Nolte singled and Kurtz got her second hit of the game as Burns came in to score to make the final 3-7.

Kurtz continues her great season going 2-3 (dbl) and two RBI's while boosting her average in the high 500's.

The team will regroup and head to Rockdale on April 1st.
