Leopards Too Much For Lady Dogs

This one started out as a real pitching dual as Lady Dog pitcher, Maggie Garrett pitched three scoreless innings, giving up only two hits while striking out three and the Leopard pitcher struck out seven, gave up only one hit and held the Ladies scorelss through three.

But in the fourth, things began to unravel for the Ladies. Garrett was backing up to catch a fly ball and collided with infielder Keri Mills. Garrett caught the ball for an out but was injured on the play. She hung in there and continued to play BUT the Leopards put a three spot on the board in the fourth , added five more in the fifth and a big final at bat scoring 7 more runs on their way to a 14-1 win.

Two completely differnt ball games. The first three innings scoreless and the final four innings having 15 runs scored.

Randi Kurtz and Amanda Severson led the ladies at the plate each going 2-3. Mills had the only RBI with a single in the 5th scoring Severson.
