Diamond Girls Start 2nd Round With A Loss To The Tigers

The Diamond Girls traveled to Rockdale to start second round district action. Unfortunately for the Ladies from Marlin they wiull start round two with a loss. This one by the identical score of the first Rockdale loss 0-9.

Rockdale scored in all the even number innings in this one. They scored four in the second, three in the fourth and two more in the sixth.

The Diamond Girls managed only three hits and all three came in the late innings - Lauren Vickers a single in the sixth and Tanya Schneider and Amanda Severson with singles in the seventh.

One bright spot for the Ladies - Randi Kurtz continues to hit the ball well. Although hitless in this game (she did hit the ball all 3 at bats), Kurtz is still among the top hitters in the district. She is hitting .586 on the year and an even .500 in district so far this year.
